Fatal crash killed a woman and a big rig on Palmdale freeway

PALMDALE, Calif. – On Tuesday, authorities reported that a tragic accident occurred in Palmdale on the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway. A big rig collided with a Honda Civic, resulting in the death of the woman driving the Civic.

According to Officer Monique Mischeaux of the California Highway Patrol, a female driver from Littlerock was involved in an accident while driving her 2008 Honda Civic southbound. The collision occurred south of 10th Street West after the woman’s car hit the right side guardrail, causing it to become disabled in the third lane of traffic. Tragically, a southbound 2016 International big rig collided with the disabled vehicle.

At around 3 a.m. on Sunday, the paramedics received a call to rush to the crash site. The woman, who was the only person in the car, was immediately taken to Antelope Valley Medical Center in Lancaster. Despite all possible efforts, she succumbed to her injuries and passed away.

Fortunately, the driver of the large truck remained unharmed despite the incident.
