Local grocery store worker hit by man who stole sub

Williamsport, Pa.- According to police, a loss prevention officer was hit by a man who allegedly stole a sub from Wegman’s.

According to Officer Nicholas Carrita of the Williamsport Bureau of Police, Darlo Vicente Blount, aged 31 and a resident of Williamsport, was confronted by Officer Scott Wagner on September 11, just before 2:30 p.m. It is alleged that Blount hit Wagner before fleeing from the store.

According to the complaint, Blount was apprehended by Wagner shortly after at the Trade & Transit Centre. It was alleged that Blount was carrying a bag that contained five baggies and two containers of marijuana.

According to reports, Blount has been accused of committing second-degree felony robbery, possession of marijuana, and retail theft. Currently, he is being held at the Lycoming County Prison on a $75,000 monetary bail.

On September 28th, Blount is set to attend a preliminary hearing in front of Judge Aaron Biichle.
